Michael Knap
Managing Director
Graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 1988 with a Masters Degree in Geology. Since early 1990s worked in forestry and alternative energy. In 2007 joined AtlasInvest to support investments in alternative energy and forestry. In 2008 became a board member at 4RCap, a founding entity of CCGS. In January 2011 was appointed Managing Director of CCGS.


Nikolai Rovneiko
Financial Director
Having graduated from international high school in Antwerp, Belgium, in 2000, studied economics in Kingston University in London, UK. In 2006 joined Morgan Stanley's capital markets team in London. Since 2007, co-managing director at 4RCap. In January 2011 was appointed Financial Director of CCGS.


Michael Yulkin
Operations Director/Managing Director, Russia & FSU

Graduated from the Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov in 1983, specialty – "Mathematical Economy". In carbon business since 1998. Participated in development of Russian National Strategy on Climate Change as a task leader in charge of JI methodology and pilot project portfolio. In 1994, founded MCF Finance and Consulting Company Ltd. in Moscow (in 2006, the company was sold to Camco International); in 1999, founded Environmental Investment Center in Arkhangelsk. In 2001-2003, a member of the Working Group for implementation of the Kyoto protocol at the Russian State Duma Environmental Committee. In 2005-2007, a member of the Climate Change Council at the administration of Arkhangelsk region. Since 2008, Head of the Climate Change Working Group of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). In 2007-2008, JI Director, then Policy and Strategy Director at Camco International. Author of more than 20 articles on carbon trade and implementation of the Kyoto protocol mechanisms in Russia and abroad.


Joost van Lier
Managing Director, Sub-Saharan Africa

Graduated form the Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2005, specialty – "Industrial Engineering". Bachelor of Engineering. Since 2005 has been involved in development of a LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and the renewable energy projects. Since 2007, has been developing CDM projects in Africa.


Joost van Acht
Managing Director, South East Asia

Graduated as a M.Sc. in Economics (Development & International Trade from Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) in 2004. In carbon business since 2004. In 2004-2011, Consultant, later Managing Director SE Asia at Caspervandertak (CVDT) Consulting. Joined BWC SEA (CCGS affiliated company in Singapore) in March 2011 as a BD manager in charge of CDM projects implementation in South East Asia.


Alexander Samorodov
Director, Project Development Department

Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD). Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 1994, specialty – "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering" (diploma with honours). In 2010 took a professional education advanced study course in Energy Saving, Energy Survey of Industrial and Housing and Utilities Sector at Moscow Institute of Energy Safety and Energy Saving. In 1999-2009, Senior lecturer, Associate professor at Arkhangelsk State Technical University, Chair of Heat and Power Engineering. In carbon business since 2001. In 2001-2006, Specialist, later Principal Carbon Specialist at Environmental Investment Center in Arkhangelsk. In 2007-2008, Chief JI Specialist at Camco International. From September 2008, Director of the Project Development Department at CCGS.


Vladimir Dyachkov
Director, GHG Emissions Monitoring Department

Stepan Mironenko
Director, Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Department

Graduated from Belgorod State Technical University named after V.G.Shukhov in 2005 with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering. Completed the Presidential Programme for Professional Development in the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, specializing in Innovative Projects Management; in 2010 - internship in Nyenrode University (Netherlands) specializing in Renewable Energy Market Development in Eastern Europe.  In 2005-2008, State Inspector with the State Construction Inspection (Federal Department of Rostekhnadzor).  In 2008-2010 headed the production and technical department of Belgorod Energy Sales Company. From November 2010 – Director of Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Department of CCGS.


Nadezhda Safonova
Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance, Russia & FSU

Graduated from Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University in 1988, specialty – "Applied Mathematics". In 1994-2006, Chief of Administration at MCF Finance and Consulting Company Ltd. in Moscow and at Environmental Investment Center in Arkhangelsk. In 2007-2008, Financial Officer, then JI Manager at Camco International. Since September 2008, Chief of Administration. From January 201, Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance at CCGS.


Roth Watson
BD Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa

Graduated from the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, in 2005, specialty – "Accounts and Strategic Management". Bachelor of Commerce. Now in the process of finishing an international qualification in management accounts through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the UK. Involved in the study and commercialization of carbon assets since 2007.

From November 2009, in charge of carbon projects development in the Republic of South Africa.


Dmitry Potashev
Principal specialist, Project Development Department

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 2007 with a degree in "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering" (diploma with honours) and All-Russian State Distance Learning Institute of Finance and Economics with a degree in "Finance and Credit" in 2011 (diploma with honours). In 2010 successfully completed JI and CDM Lead Verifier Training Course and has an international Certificate of Verifier/Lead Verifier issued by Bureau Veritas Certification. In carbon business since 2007. In 2010 took an extension course in Energy Saving, Energy Survey of Industrial and Housing and Utilities Sector at Moscow Institute of Energy Safety and Energy Saving. In 2006 worked in Arkhangelsk Oblast Energy Efficiency Center. In 2007-2008, JI specialist with Camco International. Joined CCGS in September 2008. From May 2011  - in charge of energy generation and supply projects development. 


Dmitry Voevodkin

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University (Oil and Gas Institute) in 2007 with a degree in "Design, Construction and Operation of Oil/Gas Pipelines and Oil/Gas Storage Facilities" (diploma with honours) and All-Russian State Distance Learning Institute of Finance and Economics with a degree in "Finance and Credit" in 2011 (diploma with honours). In carbon business since 2007. In 2007-2008, JI specialist at Camco International. Joined CCGS in September 2008. From March 2011 is in charge of development of carbon projects in oil and gas industry.


Konstantin Zabelin
Principal Specialist, Projects Implementation Group

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 2006 with a degree in "Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources" (diploma with honours). In carbon business since 2006. In 2006-2008, JI specialist at Camco International. Joined CCGS in September 2008. Responsible for carbon projects implementation in accordance with Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol, for preparation and submission of all required applications and supporting documents in accordance with established procedure.


Sasha Kapustina
Specialist, Project Development Department

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 2009 with a degree in "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering" (diploma with honours). In carbon business since 2009. Joined CCGS in September 2009. Since November 2009 engaged in carbon projects development in the Republic of South Africa.


Andrey Belikhin
Specialist, Energy Efficiency and Alternative Energy Department

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 2006 with a degree in "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering". In 2006-2010, Engineer, Deputy Head of Department, Center for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Metrology of Arkhangelsk Region. In carbon business since 2010. Joined CCGS in February 2010. From February 2012 is engaged in research and development covering energy saving and use of alternative low-carbon fuels and energy, including renewables and biofuel.

Graduated with a Bachelor in Engineering (Chemical) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2007. Graduated with a M.Sc. in Engineering (Chemical) with honors from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2010. He specialized in bio-fuel production. Since 2010 has been involved in the development of renewable energy and CMD projects in South Africa.

Joined CCGS in November 2010. Responsible for prompt interaction with Sberbank and the designated entities of the Russian Federation regarding project implementation in accordance with Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol and carbon units (ERUs)  issue and transfer.
